Emily Irene VanCamp, a Canadian actor and actress is famous for her roles as the main character in a variety of television programs as well as her strong performances in movies. Her work is well-known on both Canadian and American TV. Emily's interest in acting began at the age of 12 when, she went to visit their sister Katie who was making a film with Katie. Once she discovered her passion for acting, she began to take classes in acting and going to auditions. Her first audition was for a small amount of advertisements and then was selected for Are You afraid of the Dark A Canadian horror series for children. The show only featured her in one scene, without any dialogue. The WB TV show Glory Days, she received her first break in the industry at the age of 15. Emily's performances caught the attention to Dawson's Creek's Greg Berlanti, who then cast her on his television show Everwood. Emily was also a dancer, as well as a photographer. Teen once named her among the best actors under the age of twenty. Emily was listed as the 51st in the Maxim's Hot 100 list of 2014.
