Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
As I was a mom with one child at my side and other children with me in the cradle was working 12 hour shifts sanding flooring and tearing off wallpaper. Ha! All was beginning to fall into place, however it was not quite done. For this project I was ready to spend a considerable amount of money and time shopping for my dream home. To keep the budget in check, I began attending estate sales along with my three sons to find diamonds in the rough. The schedule we had for the week that included spending Friday through Saturday at sale houses and garages, purchasing new and old things. I spent the rest of the week painting and sanding on the driveway. The furniture looked like this... and that's the place I discovered my love for restoration. Even though our home had been equipped, I couldn't put down. There was a place at the local markets where I would sell my items. Then I bought more that I had no idea how to use them and outgrew the space. Over 1000 people visited my house in one weekend, to shop for everything that was on the ground. Growing Days was created in this house. My business was booming however my family was also expanding. I was trying to find that perfect balance of what it was like to start a new business and be a mommy too. Growing Days just fit. The year 2013 was the year my daughter Nora became our fourth daughter. The direction my company was heading was excellent, however I was forced to take some time off. I decided to put off working on my antique furniture for a few months and spend time with my children. That was precisely the thing I needed. After a few minutes, my phone began getting busy. I started receiving calls from people asking me for assistance with home improvements and design of interiors. It was mostly those that came to my home to purchase furniture. In the course of my work, I added clients to my list each day. However, it didn't take that long before I was managing several clients, and had a successful home remodeling business. It is likely that I'd have laughed had I had been told that the business was going to be the basis for an upcoming TV show that airs on the DIY Network. It's fun to reflect about it.
