Jenna Fischer is best known for her role as Pam Beesly on the acclaimed TV show The Office The Office, for which she was awarded the Emmy nomination for the Best Supporting Actress as well as Two SAG Awards for Outstanding Performance in an Ensemble Comedy.
Born in Fort Wayne Indiana, she spent most of her childhood living in St. Louis Missouri. Jenna watched her mom, Anne, perform in the church when she was young that instilled a passion of performing and theater.
She's a trained actress who returned to theater after The Office. The Off-Broadway show she starred in was the show Reasons to Be Happy which was written and directed by Neil LaBute and co-starring Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb, and Fred Weller. In the following play, she was a part of Steve Martin's Meteor Shower - an absurdist comedy starring Greg Germanyn as well as Josh Stamberg - for the Old Globe Theatre's first world premiere.
In October of 2019, Fischer and The Office co-star and best friend in real life Angela Kinsey launched a podcast called Office Ladies on the Earwolf platform. It has grown to gained immense popularity, settling in the Top Ten globally every week and registering more than 200 million downloads over the first two years. Office Ladies, which was launched in October 2019 and was awarded the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Month award for January 2021.
She is the author of two books. The Actor's Life and a Survival Guide that describes her journey through St. Louis to Hollywood to become a working actress, and the forthcoming Office BFF's: Tales of The Office From Two Best Friends who were there (co-authored by Angela Kinsey), which is an account of their most memorable friendship and time working for The Office.
